Senator Menendez was on This Week on Sunday. He did a great job defending clearly the democratic policy positions, HCR, and the president. Video is below. Its worth a watch. Dem candidates in congress will do well in 2010 if they speak this way. We as supporters need to be clear in our support as well.
Sorry this isn't a long diary but I wanted to post this. I've thought of this video many times this week with the waffling and nervousness in the congress. Democrats need to learn how to defend their policies and not back down. Stop making excuses and starting every statement with " this isn't a good bill, but its the best we can do".
As VP Joe Biden pointed out today, we still have 59 senate seats and a majority in the house as well !
